About us

uMotif was born when our co-founders met two patients with Parkinson’s Disease who wanted new digital tools to help them manage, track and understand their disease, treatments, medication and healthcare journey. Like many patients, they wanted a better way to engage with their health, communicate more effectively with clinicians, and feel more empowered.

After working with patients, healthcare professionals and providers in several other therapy areas, uMotif launched two large-scale research projects with over 18,000 people tracking and donating over 9 million Patient Reported Outcome, symptom, device and other data points. This led uMotif to take its learnings from healthcare and pivot into patient-centered research.

Our patient-first mindset is embedded in everything we do. Since 2012 our eCOA/ePRO platform has been engaging patients to capture data to support their healthcare and research journey. Our unparalleled understanding of the burden trial participation puts on the patient has enabled us to develop a digital health technology that combines deep clinical knowledge and consumer design expertise to deliver unprecedented levels of patient compliance.

Over the past 10 years, our experience has shown us that a patient-centered approach is vital to delivering effective studies, at pace and scale, with unrivaled patient engagement and volumes of quality data.

Today, we are a global organization, that continues to stay true to our patient-centered ethos – bringing together some of the best talent in the industry, who are passionate about making a positive impact on clinical research and the life sciences industry.
